I'm full of hobbies, I like collecting stuff and am compulsive about it lol.. I'm not one of those people you see on tv who dont throw things away and you can barely walk in their house, I just like to collect things of interest.

- I have a hardcover book collection going of Stephen King, Dean Koontz and other books or authors i like..

- I have a HUGE Stephen King collection, which started the previous collection of other authors.. Among the many books I have of Stephen King, I collect his DVD's and have a pretty darn good collection.

- I had a HUGE collection of McFarlane Baseball figures until last year.. With me being in Hawaii, most of my baseball card collection is back home in Wisconsin.. So when I got into trading last year, I needed something to use as trade bait and traded away almost all of my mcfarlanes.. I had probably near a 100 of them, down to maybe about 20 now.

- I have a little Red Sox collection going now too: matchbox/hotwheels cars, small McFarlanes and regular sized mcfarlanes..

- Huge Manny Ramirez collection that goes far beyond baseball cards.. I have 3-4 jerseys, an autographed baseball, autographed baseball bat, 2 old video games he was on the cover of, a couple old magazines he was on cover, a couple of coins, etc.. the list goes on.

- The thing I got hooked to when I started online was yahoo games. Mainly Gin.. I taught myself how to play Gin on yahoo because I knew how to play Rummy. I started in about 1998 and have been in a ton of leagues over the years and have even ran a few VERY successful leagues myself. Met a lot of great people over the years and have made some great friends from it, but it takes too much time out of life and it doesnt pay like poker can lol.

I actually met my girlfriend from a yahoo gin room and league, which is how a guy from a small town of Wisconsin can end up in Hawaii.

- along with yahoo games, became this horrible but can be profitable hobby of collecting "YAHOO RARE ID'S".. in 1998, Yahoo banned the creating of id's that use capital letters, symbols, some words they made illegal, excessive underscores, etc etc etc... WELL, there is now and has been for years, a HUGE community of people who "crack" , trade and even SELL yahoo "rare" id's. I spent 2-3 years in this community, although I never cracked I became a GREAT business man and made nearly $5k in a couple years from buying and selling rare id's.. The forums mostly auctioned off rare id's for site bux, so it was easy to build a nice collection. It was a very addictive hobby for those couple years and annoying one too.. You could easily get YOUR collection "hacked" and lose everything with a blink of an eye if you werent careful.. it was a dangerous hobby, and i got screwed a couple times. But I also made out like a bandit in the end

So.......... how about you.. what other hobbies do you have???

That is pretty wild that you met someone playing gin online and ended up in Hawaii from it, that sounds pretty cool. You collect a lot of stuff most of my hobbies are based around playing sports, or music although I used to collect baseball cards and pez characters.

Solution to the glass is half full - half empty ......

If you are taken something out of the glass than its half empty if you are putting something in the glass than its half full..

Aww the burden of supply and demand.  I got in some of the good years for baseball cards basicaly pre 1989 when the upperdeck craze hit and baseball cards were produced in a record abundence, add that too many years of added value my father who holds on to all of em has quite a bit of value, problem is the steroid era killed a lot of value for cards like McGwire and Bonds rookie cards.  Unfortunately sold my Cal Ripken rookies while he was still playing not sure what they are worth now but probably going to be super valueable by the time im 60.  Oh wait I will be dead then.
