I wish it was my KK going down to AA at online poker rooms.

Much more likely I get my money in good against some yahoo who decides to shove it all-in with Q8 offsuit because he saw a pro do that while watching WPT.  And naturally, he draws out a set or full boat or str8 or flush...rewarding his donk play.

This is what makes me reach for the Jack.

Just understand in the long run the odds will straighten out.  Sewage happens that is why man invent the toilet!  K K is the second best hand to start with.

I also have learned the hard way not to limit my options.  All ins take away every thing ( position and options ) when you do it, and most likely there is only going to be a 50 - 50 chance for you to win.  Pocket Aces have a 80% chance of winning pre flop.  Which means in reality with Pocket Aces you will be in big doo-doo 20% of time!

A way I think about all hands since they are just 2 cards and the flop tells the true strength. Wink

so tell me this cow...would you call somebodys all in if you had aa and it would put all your chips at risk too?  does it matter to you if its a buy in or freeroll?  and does it matter to you what stage the tourny's in? could you answer that please?

sorry about your bad luck underdog.

You are in doo -doo 20% of time with As before the felt shows cards period.  So I look at chip stack of the all inner first , then their position before looking at where and from bubble are we.

Free roll or real money I try to play same way!  Unless I am sharpening my poker senses by doing poker exercise such as just playing top 20 hands of my choice and nothing else.  You do fold some good other hands but I know my discipline and patience have to be kept in line so every here and there I just do it.  I also reevaluate my latest play which will tell me to do this.

Hope that answers your question without confusing you! Shocked Cheesy Smiley

The only way I would lay down AA before the flop
is if there is 3 or 4 pople going all in.Than there is a
good chance you would lose with it but other than that
if someone pushes you have to call. Its  the best hand in poker.
Even if it does lose all the time.
