The rooms do not really have control over it. Most poker rooms run on a network which provides the software. Ipoker which had CD,
Titan,
BetFred,
CarlosPoker and others was one netwotk that pulled out of the US fast. The Bossmedia, Enteraction, Ongame, Cyrptologic soon followed. Several of the poker rooms you had were on those networks some of the rooms left those networks and found networks that would accept US players.
DoylesRoom if they do move will be on their fourth network.
Some other sites like
Bodog, Fulltilt,
Bugsys and
PokerStars use their own software so if they close it would be thier choice then I would understand never returning to the site.
The two major networks that still allow US players are
Cake and Merge.
Cake first started out as one site but after the US law was passed they were able to work the software into becoming a network. Now if either ones of those leave it would not be the poker rooms fault. If Merge decided to close to US players the only two sites run by the network
Carbon and
PDCPoker would of had control not to close to US. The other sites like pokernordica, Wasspoker,
Ironduke would have no control over it.
