The fact you have 7 2 shouldn't matter, you won't have position and the big blind still has to act. If it is the big blind that min raises you should only play if you intend to take the pot away with a bluff, ie if the big blind is easily to get off hands when he doesn't flop anything
What makes you think I have 7 2 shouldn't matter you won't have position and the big blind still has to act?I'm not sure I understand the implication of that.
7-2 can be worth playing for the minimum raise, but there should be enough players in the pot to get a good return if you hit the flop. And you do have to hit the flop, 2 pair at least. Even top pair on a 7-high board is trouble, plus the fact you have no kicker. If you can flop a monster and show it down, your opponents will make you for a donkey, which in turn will help your good hands get paid off later. They don't call it gambling for nothing!
