Everyone takes bad beat and gives bad beats,Its a part off poker. The key is not to let it bother you and just keep playing the style you like to play.

Solution to the glass is half full - half empty ......

If you are taken something out of the glass than its half empty if you are putting something in the glass than its half full..

the right think to do if you cant control yourself fully...is take a break...I am one of those that cant control myself...start playing more agressive and have lost hundreds of money becouse of this and after all i still not able to fully absove a real badbeat.Concluding...it will depend from each one but what you do is right, just keep like this and you will not toss money like i did!

When I take a bad beat I go on tilt and loose all my money.......just joking.......Good advice would be play limits that dont bother your pocket, if you do take a bad beat it wont affect your play because the amount you lost wouldnt bother you.Even though no matter how little amout of money in the pot,  it sucks getting a bad beat but on you.

when i take a bad beat, that's usually enough to make me quit the cash game for the day, and ill go and play in a freeroll, it doesn't  hurt as much taking a bad beat there.

Taking a bad beat is part of poker!  You have to just take them as well as when you give them.  Doing bank roll management at the same time is the best thing I can say about.

Try not to have more than 1/2 your stack in one at a time.  The chips you save you can rebuild with! Grin Cool

Ahhh, the badbeat...do I just smile and nod my head and say "nice hand" or do I shoot the dealer dead, maim my opponent, and burn down the casino?

Probably neither choice.  At times I take the badbeat with equanimity and a cool head and continue playing the best I can muster.  Doing this I have come back nearly from "a chip and a chair" to win some tournaments.

But, at times, I succumb to the darned unfairness of it all and express some negative emotion, usually in the form of sailor-friendly 'expletive deleteds'.

When this happens, I physically walk away from the game until I stop seeing red and having thoughts of homicide.  Once I feel as though I might be willing to share a drink with dealer and my opponent I will rejoin the table with a smile on my face and a song in my heart.

Only then will I feel safe enough to continue play.  I have worked too hard honing my game and building bankroll to throw anything away due to excess emotion.
