Peter Eastgate from Denmark wins WSOP!!   To become youngest person to do it.

Mr Eastgate was able to keep his poker face while friends from Denmark jumped and cheered in the seating area.

The World Series of Poker's main event began last July with 6,844 players.

Eventually cut down a final nine, Eastgate beat 27-year-old Russian Ivan Demidov in the final in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr Demidov decided to go all in with his 16.45 million chips on two pairs (twos and fours).

Mr Eastgate, who had more than 120 million chips, won the hand with a straight (ace through five).

The 22-year-old from Denmark, has become the youngest player to win the main event at the World Series of Poker, collecting more than $9.175 million.

To break Phillip J. Hellmuth, Jr's. record.  Hellmuth was 24 years old in 1988 when he won.

I was at the 1988 WSOP game. I could only watch it then.
I was 20 at that time. I got to see the final right to the end live.
There is a part in the clip where you can see me standing in the background.
Seems just like yesterday. Oh how I miss the Old Las Vegas.

Cheers !

I remember old Vegas, no amusement rides on rooftops, friendlier service along with a few others.

Strange at home you do not see the changes that much!

Hope Peter Eastgate is a good ambassador for WSOP and poker!

Going to have a tough life for him with $9.175 million and those comps to play poker every where.

Nice to see Hellmuth lose his record thou!
