I was just at a ring table and I picked up poket JJ so I raise 4 times the blinds and get 3 callers the flop came all low cards so I bet 6 times the blinds get two callers by this time I thought I was beet but just as that thought went threw my head J on the turn given me 3 off a kind so decide to check and the first player to acts goes all in and he has about the same much as me and the other player also calls right now I have nuts there is no hand that can beat me so I call
the river comes a Q.My tripp JJJ gets beat by trip QQQ.And what was so sick about it was that the other player had KK.It was at a 0.5/0.10 table the pot was up to about $20.

now that is sick at ring tables. anyone who gets a hand like yours would really push you go all in thinking you got the best hand. the sad part is if you put all your $ on & someone has got better. ouch! wish it doesn't happen to you again.
best of luck !

definitly a tough beat, but hey at lest you got out cheap right? if you were on 50 cent or buck tables you would have lost alot more so at least there is one good side. I havnt seen too many hands like that in comparison to how many ive played but a while back I had AA vs KK vs 1010 and the pp 10s won

i have seen that to many times when about 3 top pp fight it out.  1 will get trips, 1 will get the str8, and of course the least pair will get the flush out of it.  the pot grows with every bet and i'm usually the loser.  i call cause i'm pot committed.  anymore,  i'm more willing to throw them away than i am to play them,  just depends more on my position...  pfffft!

ps..i play limit poker.

Sewage happens some times you have to fold just to climb the latter in pay scale.

You need poker strategy and bankroll etc.  To do the right calls is some times fold the winning hand.  Did yesterday 4 times in one tournament to get 2nd place.

To grow your bankroll you have to be conservative most of the time! Undecided  But I do not like what I have to do some times to grow it!  But the bigger my bankroll the more games in the future. Grin

What cow said is right and I can prove it.   I just got third in the PokerNordica final and guess who did it.

Yep - the cow did it and did it good.

Great going cow!

Keep up the good advise and the great play.

Cheers!

Yup , scary I can be but when you climb a mountain or walk uphill you have to go sideways or backwards!  Like it, leave it or lump it!

I learn the hard way just get your emotions in check so you can see the real big picture away from the table, it all goes and blends to gether!  Wink

I don't think folding the winning hand is never a good move. Its OK if you get bluffed and you fold the winning hand, everyone gets bluffed, but If you think you have the best hand than run with it and get as much chips/cash as you can.All you can do is get your money in when you have the best hand if you get drawn out on than thats poker. It sucks but happens to everyone.

Your right Sh*t does happen.
