You are holden AK of diamonds and are first to act and raise 4 times the blinds 1 player call and one raised about half you stack. You only have about $2.80 and .40 off that is already in the pot.So yo have $2.40 left if you  call his re-raise you will only have 1.40 left what should you do.

This is one off my hands I played today and was called a donkey for playing it the way I did but I think I played it right.I will post what I did after a few replies.

Solution to the glass is half full - half empty ......

If you are taken something out of the glass than its half empty if you are putting something in the glass than its half full..

Holding that, I'd call and see the flop.  As a player I would consider what I have left and what was the size of my bank roll at the site.

Ditto Tomturkey46!!  A K diamonds are just two high cards and you need three more to make a hand.  Flat calling and see what hit the felt would let me know hand value and let me see what every one else was willing to do! Cool

I thought about flat calling but didn't.The reason was because he had allot more money at the table than what I had and even if he missed the flop there was a good chance he would but me all in for the rest off my cash.If I missed the flop Even if I had him beat,I would have to fold.I Also thought about maby folding thinking he might off had KK or AA.He could off also been trying to steal because he had allot more cash at the table than anyone else.So than I decided I was either going all in or going to fold.If I did go all in the only hands that would have me dominated would be AA or KK so I decided and I went all in and the other player in the pot folded and I was up against pocket QQ vs. my AK diamonds.I was happy about this because he did  not have AA or KK.And it was about a 50 /50 shot.I hit my A on the flop and also picked up the flush.

Than he starts to go on calling me a donk.I just laugh at him and say well you r the one that called my all in re-raise without even thinking about it and that you should off known that the only hands That I was going all in with was AA KK or AK or QQ,AK because I was playing tight since I sat down there. This went back and forth for awhile. There was other players at the table that said I made the right play.I think I did.

I knew there was a good chance he had a big pocket pair and do agree that going all in with AK isn't always the best move but I think this time it was.If I had more cash at the table I probably would off just flat called and seen a flop.
