McCain: Dedicated war vet with his own mind. An independent thinker that is not afraid to vote for what he thinks is right, even if it goes against his partys platform. Pro business & freedom, which creates jobs and stimulates the economy.

Obama: Charismatic speaker from the far left. No history to speak of who miraculously was propelled to the top of the ticket (Can you say puppet?). Seriously, whomever is behind this guy is going to want some big favors if he happens to get the nod. Plus w all the programs he proposes would spend us into the ground in a matter of years with no better service to any of us.

McCain wants our kids to fight a was based on WMD which were never located. Then our kids that come home injured he denies increased benefits for. You search his record he votes party lines 90% of the time and most of his votes against his party were 15 years ago thats not a free mind. If he was a vet worried about his troops why did he miss 4 votes during the primarys all the others runnung for office made sure for any war/troop votes they were there.

Omaba who is young has a record of fighting for the small guy from the beginng while it was not allways in politics it has been his record in the private sector. IF we cut out pork belly spending there woud be a surplus of funds to pay for some of the ideas.

You also have to remember the President only has one real power and thats to send troops in. He still does not have the power to fund the troops. Only Congress can fund or declare a war. He does have veto power on bills but those can also still be passed by congress.

But if you want to go to the voting record, Obama votes along party lines 99% of the time.

I don't see much "change"  or independent thought in that record.

Also Obama has a ton of "present" votes and missed votes as well.

The reason all recent races have been so close is easy...

American's are satisfied with mediocrity.  All recent candidates have been moving their positions to the center to get our votes.  Nobody stands for anything controversial anymore, because that would alienate too many voters.

When was the last time you actually voted FOR someone, rather than AGAINST the other?  Wouldn't it be nice to have the opportunity to vote FOR something again?

How about a flat tax.

How about term limits.

How about balancing the budget?

Anyone interested in social programs like medicare?

The bottome line is that I don't care who you vote for - just vote FOR something!

McCain: Dedicated war vet who has voted against all kinds of benefits for our soldiers.

He is not for Vets at all. His one strength and its the worst record of the 2.

McCain http://iava.www.capwiz.com/bio/id/192&lvl=C&chamber=S

Obama http://iava.www.capwiz.com/bio/id/3181&lvl=C&chamber=S

Race is a major factor in this election if Obama was a white male with the name Bill Smith and had the very same credentails this would not be as close as it is now. To much is brought into account for his race and name. Wow his middle name is Hussein to many people worry about that. When John has not been the best name to have.

Assassins:
John Wilkes Booth (assassinated Abraham Lincoln)
John Hinckley Jr. (attempted to assassinate U.S. President Ronald Reagan)
John Schrank (attempted to kill Teddy Roosevelt)

Serial Killers:
John Wayne Gacy (rape and murder of 33 boys and young men between 1972 and his arrest in 1978)
Paul John Knowles (tied to the deaths of 18 people in 1974, though he claimed to have taken 35 lives)
John Allen Muhammad (DC Sniper terrorist)
John Edward Robinson (the Cyber Sex Killer)
Gerard John Schaefer (killed 34 women and girls in Florida)

Maniacs:
John Gotti (boss of the well known Gambino crime family)
John Dillinger (notorious bank robber in mid-western America)
John George Haigh (the UK's 'Acid Bath Murderer')

Many more could be listed

mccain has been in office 50 years, oops maybe 26 years. if he could have changed
anything it should have happened by now. Gas has quadrupled under republican
leadership.  Time for Dems to own the white house. Im not saying it,
the people will on election day.

all the politicians are 'owned'. is there anyone we really want to elect?
