What I Do To Never Tilt
« on: September 01, 2008, 01:06:23 PM »
I thought I'd share this with all of you.  I never tilt anymore.  If someone takes a chance, whether smart or dumb, and end up giving me a bad beat, i just think to myself,." I've done that before"  I think back to all the times i have handed someone a bad beat, so when it happens to me, I dont get on tilt.  I think back, I regroup, take a deep breath and bounce back.  That is what separates great poker players and everybody else, the ability to take a bad beat and bouncve back, also the ability to take all the good with all the bad.  So, the next time you feel yourself getting on tilt, take a breath and think back to when you did it to someone.  believe me, it works. 8) ;)

say what you may, but everyone goes on tilt, wether cause of donk, bad beat, or just your own dumb call

I'm not saying that i dont get mad for a sec, but I'm at the point now that i dont let my emotions after the fact get to me.  Once you let you emotions take over you'll make the bigger mistakes and really start messing up.  I haven't been on tilt in a long time.  Ask people who have played with me, i get hit hard and i take it in stride.
