Bingo / Playing live for the first time.

In a couple months I might be playing live for the first time. I'm pretty nervous when I think about it deeply, (Though I would

never show this at the table) as it's so much easier to play online. The button is clearly visible, it basically does most of the

math for you, and the only tells people can pick up on are your betting habits which I try to avoid anyway. There are a lot of

other issues with playing live too when your used to playing online.

But I have a few questions.

How often do you run into players that you notice are maybe playing their first live game, or close to it? And how irritating is

it?

Was it harder for you to calculate odds and keep track of what's in the pot your first time? I'm asking this because I've always

had poor math skills. I can calculate things, it just takes me a little longer than everyone else.

Is position a hard thing to keep track of when you're playing for the first time?

Also, before Black Friday, I read all of Dan Harrington's tournament strategy books, and while it taught me some truly valuable

lessons, it also pounded into my head that the proper way is to play a little tighter than most people. Now, he obviously is

fantastic at this, maybe one of the best, but I don't think it's the style I'm comfortable with. Do you ever feel this way? That

maybe you should be playing a certain way but you feel more comfortable, and seem to win more playing a different way?

Ok Im very sure this question has been asked before and am really wondering if I will even get any replies... but I tried the

search and couldnt find anything so here goes anyway.

I been playing (offline) poker with my friends for a few years, just for fun. But I never played online before, especially not for

money. But lately I met a few people who play several hours a night professionally and wanna give it a try.

So the question is, how can I get started? I never played online so I really want to read something on this type of play, to make

money. Also what are the best websites/software to use?? Ill probably play a while for play money till Im confident and then try

see if I can make actual money from this.

Yeah I know I am a lazy, dreaming, newbie basted with a dream of making money from a game I love, but all those who get their

dreams started out as dreamers, so if anyone has any info, please help!

Help / What is my diagnosis?

I think about poker a lot, I read quite a bit here on these forums aswell as the latest Harrington book which I bought recently, I've watched training videos on deucescracked and cardrunners and so far I have profited since I started playing 2 years ago. I started out at 10NL and I never moved up, due to many reasons (travelling etc) but mostly because I just can't put in any volume. Not because I lack time, I work full-time but when I am off work I don't have anything that occupies my time except for excersising.

So, why do I not put in any volume? One reason might be that the way I handle tilt is to stop playing, I never spew off money (only when I play terribly, not because of tilt). Most of my sessions have atleast a few bad beats, which is standard. If I get KK pre and lose to AA, I don't tilt at all. 2 minutes later I pick up AA, get it in against QQ and lose, now I am slightly sad/tilted. Add one more bad beat to this and I call it a day and quit playing for the day or for a few days. What is my problem...?

I just want to not give a **** about studying/if the games are beatable/if my site is the 'best' one/if there still are fish for some time, since if I just put in enough volume I would get the answer to all these questions. And yes, my brain sucks, it worries about absolutely everything all the time.
