Poker / Re: What a DONKEY
« on: February 19, 2010, 04:04:59 PM »
i know what your saying it seems like i lose 9 out of 10 times with aa to a donkey bet like that i always say im gonna fold aa but for real who can fold all in pre flop with aa its very hard to do.......well good luck at the tables and the stables lol

It suck's loosing with aa in crucial spots, Long term I like to think that calling all in's with your aa is going to be a + EV move.  If my AA's get cracked pre in a tournament I find it is best to take a break for a few to avoid tilt.

Poker tips / Re: Why Rush

With rush you have very little history with the people at your table....I find that most people are just showing up with monsters...rush is evolving into a nut-peddlers game at least at the low limits

I find that it is best to raise w/pocket aces if someone has raised before you...occasionally against some players i feel will raise me i might limp pre or utg i might try to set a trap......limping  puts your ace's at high risk

Poker tips / Re: Bankroll Management
« on: February 04, 2010, 04:40:28 AM »
When I started playing online poker I followed a lot of the bankroll management guidelines that Chris Ferguson talks about…5% on sng’s 2% on mtt’s and so far it has been pretty successful.  It took a lot of discipline for me to play with less than 5% because the pay is just never good enough unless you hit a big mtt, but it easier to handle the downswings when you’re not cashing.  I still buy in with less than 5% on sng’s and less than 2% mtt’s.  Sometimes if I want to step out of my bankroll and play an expensive tournament I will try to satellite into it that way it won’t hurt the roll.  I feel that it would be very hard for any half decent player to go bust if they followed his guidelines.
