Off Topic / SnowBird
« on: December 10, 2010, 05:33:10 AM »
Ahhh, to escape the snow in 11 days. I am heading to Florida for the winter but not before another blast of snow and cold pummel Minnesota again. Today got to 25 degrees. Warm enough that I drove my grandson to and from school. Nice that no frost was on the windows when I went to start the vehicle. My vehicle has no heater, so I try to drive during daylight hours. I had a mechanic fix the heater when I was in Florida a year and a half ago. Just don't understand my luck with heaters and vehicles.

Anyhow, I am leaving to Florida in two Mondays, and I definitely do not want to be sitting in a cold vehicle on the drive down. So hopefully the temp will be wamer than this next Monday is being. I hear a high of zero, and a low of -9 and let's not forget a 15 mph wind blowing and drifting snow which will fall Saturday into Sunday up to 9 inches of the white stuff. I have already shoveled the driveway twice this season, and am ready to be done snow shoveling for the season.

I have seen a few icehouses out on the lake near here. Brrr, not me.

Sports / NFL Week 14
« on: December 09, 2010, 06:55:27 PM »
This has been one confusing year for me. I just cannot figure out the teams that are supposed to win with the point spreads. So many of my games this year, I have won or lost by 1/2 point. Usually a loss. So here goes my rant for this week.

I believe Philly will beat Dallas by the 3.5 point spread.

I am hoping for an Eagles vs Patriots Superbowl this year.

Good luck all in your sportsbetting.

Old posts / Shop Bank question
« on: April 01, 2010, 02:47:32 AM »
have been putting my points in the bank on this site. It states the following:Welcome to the Shop Bank! Here, you can safely store your credits and earn interest for them! All money stored in the bank gains interest at a rate of 2% per day.

Now I had 992 credits the other day and it states I still have 992 credits. Is the bank still paying 2 percent interest a day or not??? I figured I'd come back to the site and I would finally have over 1000 points safely tucked away in my bank. Did I just stay up late last night or something??? One day melds into the other. Please, tell me, the Bank still pays absurd interest...

A woman went to a pet shop and immediately spotted a
large, beautiful parrot. There was a sign on the cage
that said ,"My name is Pauley, you can take me home for $50.00."

"Why so little?" she asked the pet store owner.
The owner looked at her and said, "Look, I should tell
you first that Pauley used to live in a house of
prostitution, and sometimes she says some pretty vulgar stuff."

The woman thought about this, but decided she had to have
Pauley anyway. She took Pauley home and hung Pauley's cage
up in her living room and waited for Pauley to say something.

Pauley looked around the room, then at her, and said,
"New house, new madam."

The woman was a bit shocked at the implication, but then
thought "that's really not so bad."

When her two teenage daughters returned from school, Pauley
saw them and said, "New house, new madam, new girls."

The girls and the woman were a bit offended but then
began to laugh about the situation considering how and
where Pauley had been raised.

Moments later, the woman's husband Keith comes home from
his monthly poker tournament in Las Vegas.
"Hi, Pauley," said Keith.
"Hi, Keith," Pauley answered back.     :o

Sports / NCAA Basketball talk by eberetta1

Second night in a row. You bet on a team favored to win by double digits. Tonight my team scores 17 points in the first half(Pacific) and losing by 7. I can guarantee they will pull off a win.

Yesterday the same malarkey. Yesterday, Mississippi scored 22 first half points vs Auburn
then in the second half pours it on thick scoring 63 points in the 2nd half to win 85-75.
I believe some point shaving opportunities exist. They probably have a name for this style of play.
I think I will call it the West Coast offense. Just like in NFL football, KC can score 35 points in a qtr
and still lose a game. Only in this use of it they score a fourth of the points in the first half and 3/4 of their points in the 2nd half. This makes me puke.

What should be a no-brainer moneyline bet becomes a wait til 3 minutes before the game is over before worrying about a thing.  Tonight's game they finally catch up with 6 minutes left, compared to yesterday the team waited til 3 minutes to make it a tie game, before moving on to win by double digits. Just my rant for the night...
