Here is one ugly bad beat for ya...
« on: September 12, 2008, 05:13:56 AM »
I was having a great day of poker on a few sites yesterday until this happened... I was at the 5/10 cent ring tables on Skyland Poker. I had about $8-9.00 at the table with me when I got AA, #1 starting hand. hahaha

I had position on everyone, the first player in raises to .20 and the next guy calls. So I raise to .40 cents hoping they would stay in it until the flop. They both did... after the flop, I raise it $1 and everyone continued re-raising until the 3 of us were all-in. The board was something like 4, 8, K. So I knew I still had the best hand. Well after all the cards were dealt and our own cards flopped over. Everyone saw my hand was AA, as luck would have it, someone else had AA also. At this point, i was not happy we had to split the pot. But then, I saw that neither one of us got any money. It all went to the darn DONKEY, who put all his money in on a pair 4's. His trips just won him a $35 hand at the micro tables.

Needless to say I was on the Tilt Train when I reached around and snatched the power cord out of my PC. Ha, showed them!

PS. Does anyone know how to fix a computer with a Blue Screen? Just kidding...

All I can say is I feel your pain  the low pockets win again ,but what can you expect on the dime tables. I personally dont have the dough to be on the higher stakes tables but have found theses types of instances much more rare. Now I stay away from the low low limits and found the money actually lasting longer because alot less donking happening. When i mean low I mean 10 cent blinds cause it dosnt seem anyone really cares to lose 5 bucks when they are getting 4 to 1 on their money, with little risk.

mirco with no limit no such thing and that is that AA blows online and  you can't even think it will survive an allin

The re-raising should of told you some thing!  You have to read the play around you and remember Pocket Aces are just two cards and you get to see seven cards to make a hand.  Every hand has a lose percentage as well as a winning percentage.  Also to get paid in poker you have to risk some thing to get some thing in return.

In the long run the odds will straighten out.  So relax and learn a lesson here.   We all have had it happen.  :'( :P :o
