I see so many players who bet Max Pot Limit with just ACE-2 and maybe 7 -J for example in Omaha H/L. So its 20 chip ante,s and they raise it to like 140 pre-flop ?? WHY ?? They have very little chance of making a High Hand for the other 1/2 the Pot. Your not even guaranteed of seeing a Low flop. If an Ace or 2 flops your probably screwed as well. I would think if your going for 1/2 the POT you would like as many players donating to the Pot as possible. On top of that very often 2 players have Ace-2 and you will end up with 1/4 of the POT if your lucky. It,s stupid and I will never understand this play. And it,s not just Newbie players who do this. Can some-one explain the logic of pre-flop betting with just Ace-2 ??
