I have seen many players give up after a bad beat where they lost 2/3or more of their chips. They will just go all in every hand after that to get out of the game or get lucky.
As long as you have chips it is never too late. I have made it to the money several times having the least amount of chips for quite a while.
Be patient and never give up is my advice.
