Everyone knows how to slow play. But I like to also add a little bit extra twist when I flop the nuts.
I like to check and hopefully get the table to make a small bet, or if they all check around to the turn, I make a wager that doesn't have any confidence behind it.
(I also try to bait the table early, when I have a hand I am planning on folding anyway, I make a week bet to make it look like I'm trying to steel it, and let them take me down with a simple re-raise)
So later when I have the nuts, I can do it again, except this time I re-raise back at him. Not all-in though...
I still want to look week, and make it seem I am still trying to steel the pot, so just enough to get them to call and hopefully make their pair, or hit their trips. Doesn't matter, as long as I don't see a possible boat, or a bunch of runners I know I am safe to go all in.
And the beautiful part, now I was able to go all in, but pushed those chips looking like a desperate man on his way home. Not like a guy who flopped the nuts.
