Its not always the site sending these emails. All my sites I send emails from show the email address for the site (sent from new @ pokerfreerollpassword dot com).
Several of those that you do get look like they came from the site most do not. Other affiliates like to trick players to download from them. They will title the sending address to the name of the casino/poker room, but if you check the properties of the sending email address it will not be from the site.
Also the banner or link will contain an affiliate link it will show the poker/casino site usually with numbers and/or letters at the end. If it was really sent by the site to you the link would just be the sites web address.
I got one the other day that said it was sent from
BetFred and that I reached my withdraw requirement. The email said it was sent from
BetFred affiliates when I viewed the properties it was sent from b3ddf @ c-ui1 dot com. When I viewed the source I found it contained an affiliate link for me to register as an affiliate and the sender would get credit for sending me.
1: Watch the senders address properties
2: Only click on links in an email you think you can trust.
3: If you get an email about a room and would like to download the site and do not trust the sender of the email visit your favorite poker forum. If that forum has a link use it so the forum can continue to host events for you. If they do not have the link ask the forum owner to check the site out and get a link for you to download if he trust the site.
Most forum owners have more sources to verify a site. You must use your own judgement on trusting the forum owner. I am not asking anyone to trust me, thats up to you. I feel the forum events we advertise here and the forums hosting are trustworthy.
